Love is Respect.org is a website dedicated to helping people understand healthy and unhealthy relationships, recognize warning signs of abuse and control, and finding the help they need for themselves or others.
It contains quizzes to help you understand the quality of your relationship, it does a great job of explaining what abuse looks like, and it also helps give tips to the viewer for hiding that they've visited a site like this from your abuser.
People with poor mental health are much more likely to be in an abusive or toxic relationship, so if you think this might be you - check them out.
The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is an organization advocating for the modernization of our mental health care system, a healthy culture, and accessible community supports in available to everyone.
They are leading the social and societal change of mental healthcare in Canada, and are committed to supporting health equity for Indigenous peoples.
They offer online mental health courses, resources for when you're in active crisis, information on recovery, and more.
988.ca is here to talk suicide. (988 is the number for mental health emergencies in Canada) Whether you're in active crisis and need immediate help, or just want to learn more about suicide from a reputable source, they can help.
They offer a 24/7 to a crisis phone line to get help without judgement.
They also offer help with supporting someone else who may be thinking about suicide, understanding suicide, finding resources near you, suicide stats, facts & myths, risk factors, and "suicide-safe language" to help you talk about suicide.
2024 update - Many of Sad Girls Club's offerings haven't been updated since 2022. However, they still offer "NYA Not Your Average Chatroom™ Sessions - Free Virtual Group Counseling", so I still recommend checking them out.
